The alternating timelines and smaller plot twists scattered throughout the book kept up the pace and allowed me to power through in a matter of hours. Hoover writes both of these a little too well and left me switching between grinning, weeping, and sobbing. We go immediately from head over heels, reckless, ecstatic love to a broken relationship that’s filled with silence, guilt, and devastation. In the ‘Then’ chapters, we see the pair meet under very unfortunate circumstances as they each learn of their partners’ infidelity, and then reuniting unconventionally to begin a genuine love story. And breaking my heart.Īll Your Prefects alternates between the past and present of Graham and Quinn’s relationship. I’ll just say it: Colleen Hoover is the queen of dual timelines.
